Flowers you can feel, colour you can live with.
Malshi sculpts gardens in texture paste, petal by petal, so every bloom stands proud of the canvas and catches the light. Original textured florals and mixed-media abstracts, made by hand one piece at a time.

Lullaby of Petals
Acrylic & texture paste on 380 GSM premium canvas · 4.1 × 2.3 ft · 1.5-inch deep
Roses, daisies, gerberas and tulip buds scattered across a soft cream ground, each one raised in pastel texture paste with fine green stems and leaves. Gentle, airy and calm, made for a bedroom or nursery wall.
Golden Whispers
Acrylic & texture paste on 380 GSM premium canvas · 5 × 2.5 ft · 1.5-inch deep
Hundreds of yellow blossoms on wind-swept dark stems, sculpted over a heavily textured white and grey ground with ink splatters beneath. A large statement piece, finished in a pale floating frame.
Petals of Joy
Acrylic & texture paste on 380 GSM premium canvas · 2 × 3 ft · 1.5-inch deep
A wall-to-wall garden in sculpted paint: daisies, sunflowers, hydrangeas, lavender spikes and proteas built up in thick texture paste over a sunrise of pink, orange, sky blue and gold. Every petal stands proud of the canvas, so the piece changes with the light through the day.
Blooming Blocks
Acrylic & texture paste on 380 GSM premium canvas · 2 × 2 ft · 1.5-inch deep
A patchwork of hand-sculpted five-petal blossoms, one to a square, in a warm checkerboard of terracotta, ochre, mulberry, mint and cocoa. Playful and orderly at once, it reads as a bold graphic from across the room and as a field of tiny raised flowers up close.
Dance of Daisies
Acrylic on gesso-primed canvas · 40 × 30 cm · 43 × 33 cm framed
White daisies with sunny yellow centres, sculpted in thick texture paste against a clear turquoise ground, with sage-green leaves on slender stems, set within a white border. Painted in high-quality acrylics on gesso-primed canvas, framed in pine wood, and finished with a protective varnish for long-lasting durability.
Lemonade
Acrylic on gesso-primed canvas · 40 × 30 cm · 43 × 33 cm framed
A dense carpet of blossoms on a bright lemon-yellow ground: orange and gold daisies, pink four-petal flowers, white and turquoise clusters, and sunflowers tucked into the corners, every petal raised in texture. Painted in high-quality acrylics on gesso-primed canvas, framed in pine wood, and finished with a protective varnish for long-lasting durability.
Summer Meadow
Acrylic on gesso-primed canvas · 60 × 50 cm · 63 × 53 cm framed
A full-bleed meadow of sunflowers, daisies, red star flowers, pink blossoms and proteas over a soft rainbow wash of pink, lilac, mint and gold, sculpted petal by petal. Painted in high-quality acrylics on gesso-primed canvas, framed in pine wood, and finished with a protective varnish for long-lasting durability.
Built petal by petal.
Texture art is slow work. The studio makes one piece at a time, and this is how each one comes together.
01
A colour story
Every piece begins with a palette: the vibrant pinks, oranges and turquoise of a garden in full sun, or the soft creams, sands and sages of a quiet room. For commissions this starts as a conversation about the wall it will hang on and the feeling it should carry.
02
Petal by petal
Flowers are sculpted directly onto gesso-primed canvas in texture paste, shaped with a palette knife one petal at a time, then coloured in acrylic. Each layer dries before the next goes on, so a single painting is built over days and holds real depth and shadow.
03
Finished to last
Once the surface is complete it is sealed with a protective varnish and set in a pine wood frame. Every piece is an original. When it is sold it is not reproduced, and it leaves the studio with a signed note and care guidance.

About Malshi
Malshi is a Sri Lankan artist based in Piliyandala, near Colombo, working under the studio name Texture Tales. She sculpts flowers and abstract surfaces in acrylic and texture paste, building each petal with a palette knife so it rises off the canvas and catches the light.
Her work moves between two moods: bright, joyful gardens of sunflowers, daisies and blossoms, and calmer pieces in soft, earthy neutrals. Everything is made by hand, one piece at a time, on gesso-primed canvas, finished with varnish and framed in pine.
Much of it is commissioned, shaped in conversation with the person who will live with it, and travels to homes, hotels and offices across Sri Lanka and abroad.
